United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS)
Provided operational support to  the ILS-LEDA network (International Links and Services for Local Economic Development Agencies). Coordinated the creation of the first local economic development agencies in Albania (Vlore, Durres and Shkodre) and in Serbia and Montenegro (Novi Sad, Kragujevac). Involved in the activities to support the creation of local economic development agencies in South Africa. Activities included the concertation with the local actors, the mapping of the endogenous resources, the elaboration of the business plans and of the bylaws, the selection of the staff and the support to the identification and set-up of the agencies’ services (including the set-up of guarantee funds).
